Default Hpi rs4 rebuild transmitter question, help :(

Hey guys,

First time posting here! I have been out of the hobby for 10 years and recently discovered my old rs4 pro and sport 2 under the house. Witnessing the speed of brushless motors combine with lipos compelled me rebuild the car and get back into it!

I have encountered some trouble with my flysky gt3c (green) and a new ezrun esc motor combo. It seems channel 2 on the receiver doesn't work at all, I can swap it to channel one to see if that works (the steering then powers the motor). So I can the bind has worked correctly. But with my esc in channel 2 and steering in channel 1 I can get no response at all from the car no matter my input or adjustment to dual rates etc on the radio.

I thought perhaps it was the low voltage cutoff from the esc, but I adjusted that to zero (as I still only use my old 7.2v nicad)

If anyone has experience with these products, please let me know. Maybe I have forgotten to do something?

Thanks for any ideas you could put forth
