Just finished the build. I've noticed the rear pod lower plate is not flush with the main chassis. It's 1 mm higher than the main chassis.
Is something wrong?

Nope. Rear pod carbon plate is thinner than the chassi plate (from memory it's 2.5mm vs 3mm for the chassis), hence the 'step'. Not an issue, I just subtracted 0.5mm when setting ride height. So for 5mm f&r, I set the rear pod to 5.5.

Looking to get in to F1 and this one looks promising - where does one purchase the stand alone kit from?

Thanks in advance.

Good to know that you run one of ours....do let us know. Rob King and Rick Vessell both know this car well enough on carpet...

Can I ask why you say WTF1 is "fastest car"? Didn't VBC LightningF win IIC?

Hey guys, just picked up the Tresrey version of this car, is there any one that can chime in on somewhat necessary parts to upgrade and have as spares, also best tuning otions ie springs etc, have had a good blast over the entire thread but only have so many fingers on one hand to keep the pages open with lol.

Also, looking for a more modern style body, going to be running F103 foams on the beast, any good advice for this side of the fence, I do quite like the SP body also need wing choices as well.

Cheers in advance

I'm a little unsure whether or not to run the soft plastic suspension parts with foams on asphalt. Do you think foam tires will generate too much traction causing the plastic to flex to to much?

Also, the differential action is horrid. I'm not sure what's going on there. Maybe, I should switch out the stock metal balls and throw in some ceramics.

Whats the deal with the front top deck that mounts to the back of the servo mount? Does it have any particular function?

The front camber pivot ball and cup setup....ugh... is there an alternative? I was reading earlier thread posts and people were mentioning CRC front knuckles.

For the diff get a tamiya washer instead of the plain washer from the kit. It will improve action 100%.

I don't know how much difference the battery retainer thing will make. Maybe stiffen the chassis a bit

Crc knuckle s might work. Also use the delrin option pivot balls for the lower arm

The kit damper droop is about 2~ mm. Did any of you guys run into this problem? I guess I'll have to add some internal spacers to the shock?
