Front suspension set likes Tsutomu Arakawa from petitrc.
Still not enough speed mid corner. Any tips?
Hmm?

Try making your side links straight. This will free the car up a lot, and should give you more corner speed. I did that to mine a long time ago... haven't looked back since!

And keeping a eye out for SP1v2

Default Plastic

Can anyone tell me how to find out if my new sp1 has the upgraded plastic parts.During the build i had trouble with the nuts in the center pod brace just spinning around as the plastic just seems to soft.I tried a different brand nut that fitted better and even then the plastic just gave way.

Thanks for any help.

What usually helps here is to tap the nyloc nut before you assemble the pivot. You may have the original soft plastic as well. YOu may want to try a new pivot anyway if you have rounded out the one you have.

Maybe, just maybe, you can do this.

4 x normal lock nuts (depending on the height, I would stack them)
2 x nylon lock nuts.
2 x longer screws.
CA glue.

Stack two normal lock nuts in the plastic pivot lock nut holder. Take your longer screws and oil the threads and thread them up into the normal lock nuts. Then thread the screws up into the normal lock nuts as best as you can. Then try to set the rear pod and side-links so they are moving/pivoting freely. Once you have the pod and links set, I would then glue those normal lock nuts in place with some CA. After the CA has set, take your nylon lock nuts and tighten them down on top of your normal lock nuts to hold them in place.

It's worth a try. I've never tried it before. But who knows? It might work in the mean time.

Thank you both for your input.

Try grinding down carefully where the nut goes in the nylon nut holder and when you tighten it use a nut driver. That what I did very carefully grind away enough to flatten out that area and enough room for a nut driver. That's what I do to all my cars that have that type system it allows you to really tighten the nuts down. And run the screw through the nylon part of the nut first.

One of those nights. Pulled a rookie move(forgot to check pinion Pitch) now i need a 72T 48p spur to get my speed passion F1.
Anyone have a 72T 48p spur for sell?
Or will any brand spur gear work?
