Gilbert...the 2015 TITC race was all outdoors and there were 3 cars in the A Main along with the win

Hideo Kitazawa - 13th (qualified 6th)

Great results from our SP1 F1 drivers! Stick King has always been known in the F1 racing circles as a great driver. Everything came together at this event for him to take the win and set the fastest lap of the main.

Default Need help on single cell gearing

Just finished my SP1, I'm running 1 cell lipo power, single cell Hobby King gen II ESC , and Ride brand rubber tires on a outdoor concrete basketball track with good traction and relatively smooth surface here in Cancun, Mexico. I need some advice on gearing. Motor is a 17.5 brushless sensored Turnigy, I would prefer to use 64P gearing, but don't know what would get me in the ball park with a single cell. FDR=??? ( tire diameter is 2.47"). I have an assortment of spurs & pinions.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought Rob King of rcF1blog might have tried this setup. I can ask him later.

Check my setup sheet from last competition. Big tight and fast carpet. In this conditions xray f1 has a lot quicker in corners. If I change to 185 front widt form 190 it would be more adjustable to increase speed in corners?
Front suspension set likes Tsutomu Arakawa from petitrc.
Still not enough speed mid corner. Any tips?

Interesting. Will be interested to hear your views on the IFS if/when you mount it.
I actually ditched the steering rack on my SP-1 recently, and went to a direct setup, using the Xray x-stiff saver, and Exotek extension plate (first picture). Felt really nice on track... once I'd turned down my dual rates! (only need 45% to reach max lock).
Pretty much ended up with the servo in the same position as I had had it with the upright mounting previously (second image), which gave a good ackerman positions, with links angled slightly back from the centre. Bump steer wise, 5mm of spacers gave a level link.
Overall very happy with how it performed, and certainly simplified the front end setup

Why are the inner ribs on the lower arms cut?

Those are the hard arms. I like the original soft arms better so I wanted to see if that added some flex

I'm also thinking of doing the same with my steering setup. I currently have a Tamiya mini servo saver extension sitting in my pit box, but I'm not a big fan of the blue . So I did a little research and found Square RC offers the same type but in various colors.

This one piece aluminum extension arm requires the multi-piece Tamiya servo saver.

Yep the Tamiya mini extenders are a good thing, just don't over tighten them.
