For side links use the associated ones, links and pivot balls, part numbers 4635 and 4637.
You can use the new straight xray side springs. I use Gravity RC which are the same size and style. They fit and work perfectly.
You need XRA373591 for the spring holders and then the springs. Silver and gold should be fine for F1.
Or you can buy the 3 softest gravity springs here http://www.teamgravityrc.com/store1/...=0&sort=normal and use the xray holder above. The gravity holders are metal and used a 6-32 thread. The xray ones are plastic and use any 3mm screw.
EDIT - You can see a picture of the spring setup I described above here http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...hobbywing.html

So I have the car built, all the option parts. I used the 185mm setup sheet from Speedpassion website. I am going to run pits 571/572
Question: Do I need to do anything width wise in the rear? if so, part # please

Solara, what's the deal with spare parts for the SP-1? Summer is coming up and outdoor tracks are pretty unforgiving around here. If I can't have spare parts, I'm not going to keep your car. I know you've been working on new designs for uprights and related parts, but when can we expect to see things back in stock?

Where do I find the parts that are available? I checked those places in solara's sig and they do not have any of the parts I would think should be in my spares before racing. All places I have checked online are on back order.

I'm a bit concerned about spare parts as well - the revised uprights being the most important. If we see them mid-April, great! But like olucky, I'm not finding much at any retail sites. My winter season was cut short as it is, I'd really like to race the SP-1 a few times through the spring and summer season.

Hello Mr. Solara just got my SP-1 for LH this year! Since your car looked so good last summer was wondering what setup you had on there?? Is it R.K?Also are you using a counterweight on the rear axle?? Any help would be great. See you this summer!

Got to mention again how good this car is out of the box. At or recent Race of Champions. . Mike Hanulec was able to run my v2 down for the win.

Not happy about this..lol...but I wanted to point out that my tamiya is VERY dependent on the front tire sauce program. In the end when I lost the front dope..it cost me the win. FJ was able to take advantage and instantly strike when I lost all steering. The sp seems to be more consistent through the entire run...
I am terribly impressed with the car and when the knuckles get sorted..I will own one.
I only made small changes to his build.. and I think he only did minor tweaking to setup..Most importantly trashing the hardware and using Tamiya stuff for the links. I also shimmed the front plate to get a reasonable ride height. Keep this option open during your build as it is most logical way to do it.
