Yes, have use both. Rims direct fit. Some body you may need to cut a bit more to clear the side link. No big deal.

Any news on the aluminum parts? Specifically, are there aluminum versions of the pivot balls and "slotted capture inserts" in the works? In my opinion, those are the only two bad parts about the kit and aluminum versions would make a huge, huge improvement. Pretty please?

The lower hinge pin ball (metal material), carbon mixture plastic parts including the arms and the pivot ball insert (not aluminum but harder plastic) and other aluminum option will be in USA around middle of October.

My apologies before hand for noobish question. What is the main difference between the reg sp1 and the treyser sp1 besides the red anodized parts. I cannot constitute an extra 90 bucks just so my sp1 is red. Appreciate all replies in advance.

LM-1 announcement: http://www.bigsquidrc.com/speed-pass...ns-spec-racer/

Solara, can you tell me how the LM-1 shock is mounted on the battery hold-down brace? There is some sort of white bushing with a top screw, it looks like. I'm asking since the shock is a bit loose on my SP-1, mounted on the two different-sized ball studs (front/back). Is the LM-1 method less sloppy? If so, I assume it can be retrofitted to the SP-1?

Basicly, the way it mount on the LM-1, can be used on SP-1 too...however, it was our Japanese driver testing the LM-1 at Yatabe Arena and he recommend to use a clear rubber o-ring to place above the shock cap with a 3mm screws on top for LIMITING the roll action of the damper due to the FOAM TIRES setting..........

If that is what you prefer to use on SP1, you can try that but it is not required......my 6 months old SP1 is still running the original cap and the ball stud and the play on mine is very very little.

Interesting, but good to know! The play on mine is noticeable, though I'm not sure how you would define it. I may try to take a quick video of it to show you. I may not be a problem at all, though, I'll find out on Saturday
