www.rcracing.com is a site that caters to the norcal racing scene, they'll be able to help you there.

For SoCal
May 15th second round of the Jimmy Babcock OnRoad race series will be at 4Fun Hobbies in Hesperia bring CS27s or RP30s
Saturday Nights are good @ SoCal raceway racing starts at 6PM get there early and bring Sorex 36Rs.
OC Series I believe is also running.
And the REEDY Race is 28th and 29th @ Tamyia's track but it is full.
Those are the worth while things locally that I can think of.
I might be at Reedy just to watch. Didn't make the list of entries.
Oh Well there is always next year.

When you're in the norcal area be sure to check out both Speedworld Raceway and Ripon Raceway, two of the best tracks in the country.

Racers Haven in Bakersfield...saturday may 7th at 6pm onroad and paved oval racing..for onroad you have to use a 19t fixed timing motor and preglued cs-27 takeoffs...we sell both in the shop. go to www.racers-haven.com for more details.

Thanks for the info, keep it coming. I am going to print out this thread and take it with me to CA.

Mr. Shookie where is the high desert? Ridgecrest area? I raced there once, turned into the wind and my car was blown 4 feet high and into another lane

High Desert = Lancaster/Palmdale/Hesperia/EdwardsAirForceBase/Victorville????????and on and on and on....it is the desert you know...LOL
Yea the winds can turn touring car racing into super flight racing...
HotRod Hobbies & 4 Fun Hobbies are the only two real tracks in the High Desert. HotRods race TC on sat mornings.
Hope you enjoy your trip.
If you can make RCX it always puts on a good show, + you get to meet some cool people......

Do you know of more midweek racing or practice?

I went to Speedworlds web site, looks like racing Sat only. In AZ we have regular racing at the local hobby shops. In Calif. it appears that a lot of the racing moves from shop to shop. Is that right?

Does Ripon have a web site? I just stop at the town with the Starbucks near the blue water tower ?

I met a nice guy at last years Reedy race, Jeff Maurer. He was trying to get back to being "one of the fast guys", so he changed to a shuey. Did he suceed?

Thx
