Default hobbywing xerun vs. castle sv2!!

just wanted to get you guys opinion... i have both the xerun 120a 3.5t 9100kv combo and the castle creations sv2 6900kv 4pole combo.. in my on road touring car... ive tried both in the exact same car with exact same gearing and battery pack.. i havent tested this with a spped gun or gps yet. but by the look and feel of it my castle system is faster, isnt the motor with the higher kv supposed to create more rpm thus more speed?

The 4 pole is a high torque motor and it will need more gearing to make it work like it should.

i have them geared the same, and my 6900kv seems faster.... why? does 4pole make that much of a difference?

Being a 4 pole I would have expected the 2 pole 3.5 motor to run hotter of the two.
