I tried to find thread about this topic but couldn't find anything. Can people post experience with different manufacturer springs, comparison etc.? Maybe some generally recommended spring weights for certain conditions (for e.g. I heard that HPI Gold/Silver springs are really good on tarmac). It would also help newbies understand setup sheets from top drivers why they use various manufacturer springs in different conditions.

HPI silver/Silver or Silver/pink outdoors are good, Tamiya White/blue or Xray 2.8/2.6 on carpet

Yeah that sounds about right. That's what I had success with.

Car seemed to work well with Schuey big bore springs on small bore shocks too on carpet.
