i ordered one on Ebay said it is new, but it wasn't. the unit powered on but can't charge with the internal tray. So i opened it up and found out the spring post circuit was broken, then i repaired the it and glue the post with CA on the board. Now it works.
second is a trinity dpd. it worked for a while, but it just can't discharge one day. i opened it and found out a broken solder join on the battery contact.
so double check it then.

There is some new firmware we are testing.
When it's totally done it will be on the spintec website, www.spintec.nl

Ant help and or suggestions would be welcome.

Unscrew the bottom and check for the following;

The solder joints go eventually, and as has been mentioned, always leave the charger in the 'Closed' position.

Hi guys,

On the topic of auto repeak, has anyone actually seen this happen?.
I have the new version and did a pack last night, when it completed it charge and finished, I left it alone for about 15 minutes and felt like forever, but nothing happen, no repeak whatsoever.
Does this happen the same day, or year, any info will be appreciated.

thanks

It will only repeak when, for example, cell nr2 has peaked @4200mah and the other cells are still charging and are @4600. If cell nr2 is under a specific temp. (I think 40~45C) and has (not sure how much less) around 300mah less then the other cells, then the ICC will repeak cell nr2.

Thanks for explication. I seen that during charge of a bad pack but I was not shure of procedure.

Ciao

Hi guys, I mailed Erik and got a reply, see below...

"What is does is detect a cell that might have peaked false (too early). If a cell cuts off, and it has accepted 200mAh less then other cells and temperature is below 38 degree C it will automatically restart charging that cell".

I have done a pack where certain cells took more than 500 mAh than others and no repeaking took place, so no I can not agree unless the temperature was above the set min allowed?...

I will try increasing the min temp cut off to about 45 deg celcius say since my packs are peaking at about 52 degrees. I noticed that its not quite calibrated correct, cross checked its about plus minus 5 degrees out say.

I'll post my findings.

v1.07 beta - 29/05/2007
- cycle function
automatic charge/discharge for pack testing/cycling

- min/max capacity setting
use the max capacity for example to store your packs with 500mAh in it
use the min capacity for preventing false peaks

- lower min. temp and higher max.temp in charge settings

- cut-off system indication
this will tell you if the charging has been stopped by temperature, deltapeak or max cap setting

- bad-cell indicator
during charging you will see an “X” below the cell number to indicate that the cell might have a problem

- C.V.R. system (Cell Voltage Rebounce)
This system will tell you how the voltage bounces back after discharging. It will give you the cells voltage 1
and 2 minutes after discharge cut off. We feel this can be used to find broken cells. It’s still experimental,
so any input on this is welcome.

- Improved system check (more reliable error messages)

- Fan setting
Auto: as usual, if temp of pack is above 32 degree C
On: fan will always be on

Check the Firmware_History. It has all the changes in it.

thanks Mooony/Ronald

I just went and there is no firmware history change as yet, but thanks for posting it!

Do you know if they will release a updated manual reflecting all these changes or is it user friendly, idiot proof

thanks, I will load tonight....
