I apologize as I am sure there is topic on this by the search function is useless on my phone. I will be running touring. usgt. and vta. The hottest motor might be a 10.5 but most likely a 13.5. Would I need an rs pro or could I use a regular rs.

you can get away with the 'standard' RS...its rated down to a 5.5/6.5 - so you're good

Agreed... I've used the Tekin RS in a 1/10 TC with a boosted 10.5, and experienced no failures. The speedo will handle a 13.5 with ease, and keep coming back for more. In fact, the RS is probably the most reliable ESC I've used, as I have a few that are 3-4 years old that work flawlessly.

Tekin says 7.5 for a regular rs which is just fine unless you wanna run mod. Even so, unless the track is very big a 8.5 or 10.5 is fast enough with boost in tc.

Correct, the standard RS is fine up to a 7.5 with today's cars/batteries. For what you're dong the Rs is sufficient.
