building track with pcv pipe?
hello im looking to build a track with 4" or 5" pcv piping and looking for ideals
has any one else have done this? could you post some pictures?

Here is a link to the club I race at. If you go to the pics tab and scroll down you can see some pics of our track. The club has a new type of square pipe that locks together for racing, and we have had much success with this. We used to run only pvc pipes, but fazed them out as the joints that hold them together often would rip suspensions apart if tagged. The new pipes eliminate that, and dont move if hit. I am unsure of the manufacturer of the new pipes though...

We use (about) 4'' pipe. Years back we just had the little end go into the big flanged end, but then made up some couplers, T pieces, Y pieces, domes for the ends, etc, to stop the cars catching the lips. A bit of tape required here and there, but works well.
