King-G: hmmm very interesting.. i will consider on my soon to be replaced C4.1, this chassis will become my car for radical experiments.

Have you heard of the idea of running front and rear oneway diffs?? I'm preparing a stock car for my dad, it will included two oneway diffs, providing he does not want to use brakes. This setup is supposed to make for very fast stock cars (on large flowing tracks only), once you get use to driving it.

hehe..yeah i remember cookie trying it for a laugh..

it was weird to drive he said....but it was slower at tftr than a single oneway setup..

we were just talking about this the other day, not sure how the car would handle mid corner if the power was applied ??

Yep; three of my friends and myself all have Corally F1 cars, we race them when ever possible, not much F1 at general club meetings, but there is always a F1 class at State and National Titles.

Brilliant car! no other F1 comes close.

I run the car pretty much out of the box, with Corally Gold Soft or Gold medium rear tires for the fromt i use Corally Gold medium. When required i use Orion traction compound (yellow bottle, #44105)

KO 2173 servo

Just make sure that the rear ride height is about 1mm higher than the front.

Whats up everyone in Corally land. Not much to report here, just the 30 degree temps

Well atleast next year seems to be rapidly approaching. Before I know it, I'll be scrambling to buy all the stuff I need to start next years parking lot season!

I had a similar race last friday, out of two qualifiers i ended up sixth, but for the final i easily took the lead and won! All that i needed was a clean run with no hacks from other drivers.

My thoughts exactly- just make the a-main and the podium will be the easy part

So has anyone sent Corally a list of future improvements/ suggestions for the car? Do they, I wonder, take input from us regular racers or do they just R&D with their team drivers? I have a big wish list for the next design....

MikeR: No, I haven't sent them my wish list yet. The only thing I would really wish for is that they make sure that theres an upgrade kit to whatever they plan on doing next. Well, atleast if its possible to do so.

I can't wait to see what Corally has up its sleeve for the next car though.

After talking to Corally, they have said that they will be addresing the following issues...but no firm release dates:

1. Improved instructions, C4.1 specific instructions with the kit.

2. Improved bearing tolerances in bulkheads, some bearings have a tight fit or a loose fit, causes accelerated bearing damage.

3. Steel lay shaft or a hollow spring steel lay shaft

4. Rear suspension arms with more lower shock mounting options. Front suspension arms with more lower shock mounting positions.

Competed in a 2 hour enduro last Sunday 23rd..And my team won! woohooo.

We had a 4 car team, three of the cars were C4.1's. The rules made it tough...

4 cars made up as follows:
1 x mandatory randomly supplied Novice driver with 540 motor.
1 x 540 car (can use upto 2000mah cells).
1 x Stock car (can use upto 2400mah cells).
1 x Mod car (can use upto 3000mah cells).

Max 2 packs / driving stints per driver!

As it turned out our randomly supplied Novice driver was the host clubs current Novice champion! So he drove very well.

Prior to the main 2-hour enduro, We also had to pre-qualify as there were 12 teams but only 8 could run in the 2 hour main event. The prequalifying event was a mini 1 hour enduro, we qualified 2d for the main event, even though we had a 4min break due to a channel clash with our novice drivers car.

We won the 2 hour event and in the process completed 452 laps.

I believe next year there will be a 4 hour event..can't wait!

BK: thanks for the info. I assume they will be doing this to newer kits as running updates. And, oh how I do hate running updates! When companies do running updates, its like their screwing the people who bought the kit first. The newer kits even come with the full rough axles now, but most of us have to buy them seperately.

O'well, I guess thats just how crap goes!
