6.86mm dia for a com, isnt it too small? I was expecting something less than 7.2mm, the com would have lost it preformances, i.e., motor overheating easily & less runtime.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Will Team Checkpoint make 19t & 23t motors too? Hopefully they will soon.

19 turn is in the works. 23 turn, I highly doubt it but don't know for sure.

The 19t motor will be out in a few weeks. We are hoping to have the stock motor out before the end of the year.

Congrats to Chris, Jason & Charlie. Now I need a car.
Thanks

well i just brought the only 12 turn checkpoint motor (12 turn is the motor limit for open mod in New Zealand) i could find anywhere, (stormerhobbies, last checpoint motor), will be trying it out this weekend, does anyone have any idea on gearing, our track is 175meters long the main straight is 45meters, i have heard that these motors have lots of rpm but a little short of tourqe is this true and if so can anyone help to get more tourqe out of the engine. the lastest radio controlled car action, says that it would suit longer and more freeflowing tracks rather than short tracks,

i am looking forward to racing this motor as far as i know i am one of the only drivers in New Zealand who is racing checkpoint motors, and will racing in the Nth Islands Champs and National Champs with these motors, and are looking forward to beasting the rest of them with a great new motor

cheers for the great product checkpoint

have you ever run a 12 turn before?...do you know any body else running 12 turns also? this motor is not that far off most 12 turns except the v2 , gear them up and let her ripe...team check point

I would gear that motor more like the Orion V2 then any other motor which would be about 1 tooth lower then like Trinity motors. Just my thought....
