anyone else get their kits yet? Have been busy with work so no time to build. Promise to start this weekend and take photos...I have two BNIB Tamiya Sauber C12 bodies lying around and am going to try and fit one to the chassis.

Got mine this afternoon. Was surprised with the aluminum bottom plate for the pod. Beautiful looking parts but not a setup hint one. Good thing I am not a novice, but again it is called a pro kit.
I will start building next week.

Brian - what wheels do you recommend and what is the width of the car? Does it fit the UF1 rules?

Yes it does meet UF1 rules and Tamiya foam wheels fit with no problem

You can download the manual from their website. It states that it takes the Tamiya wheels in there.

almost a shame if or when that aluminum bottom plate will start to get scratched up

sidenote: found some time last night to sand the edges of the carbon parts and sealed with CA..

They say you can use Tamiya F104 parts like the body, rims, front nose wing, and rear wing.

True. Am in the middle of the build and using leftover Ti screws from my F104 kits. Also am going to mount a Sauber C12 body, front / rear wing set (F103).

Gryphun,

Does the kit use Metric or SAE screws?

Still waiting on mine, hope to have it this week. I picked up a few sets of sweep f1 tires, but it sounds like they aren't very good yet. Anyone have any Idea of what tires i should get for outdoor asphalt?
