Yes, I will out on Sunday. I will be pitting with Rich. I have not run on asphalt in over 25 years. Just got back into racing last year and have only been running at Plant City (indoor with A/C, well worth the drive from Orlando each week). I remember running the state series back in the late 80's and burning up while pitting on asphalt. Hopefully it will not be too hot on Sunday.

I have both A and B Tamiya foams and several sets of pit rubber to try out. On carpet the Tamiya foams have my Flash04 running like a WGT. Not so much on rubber (yet).

Default Rear axle adjustable mounts

Hey Bill, you wouldn't happen to have an extra rear axle mount you can sell me on Sunday? I have one broken but I have the backend holding together for now, but one good shot and it's all over. CRC told me a few weeks ago that they would not have any in stock until end of July at the earliest.

I don't think I have that part. I'll look later.

The VBC F1 ran great this weekend at the UF1 Midwest series race #1 at NORCAR at The Gate.

Track was very flowing and high bite.

Here's a pic of my ride

Everyone uses the Pardus "spec" tire.

Here's a link to Saturday's club race.
The track was altered slightly for Sunday's UF1 race.

I've tried the pardus on my local carpet track but i had issues with too much lateral grip cause the car to flip on fasts corners. How did you manage that on your track ? (if some drivers have the problem ?)

Very nice race , can i use the vidéo for rcf1.fr ?

I added more travel to the front and softened the rear.
The suspesion rolled and didn't transfer the weight to the tires.
The car wasn't prone to traction roll as long as you drive it smoothly

I did notice a small variance in the Pardus tires, I had to change fronts when I cracked a rim. I gained some front bite that did cause the car to traction roll when I was aggressive. At that point I removed some camber (from 3* to 1.5*) and used less tire traction on the fronts (from 3/4 to 1/3 inside, SXT).

There's that video and a few others on youtube you can repost.

You can also super glue the side walls of the tires to both stiffen them a little and to make them slide instead of grab during a turn. After cleaning the tires, my car was flipping on tight turns. After super glue, no more flipping. Same track as the posted video.

Note that my car wasn't traction rolling until I cleaned the tires off. No other changes were made to the setup. For the 3rd main, I super glued the side walls and used no traction compound, and didn't flip once in 15 minutes, and finished 4th in the 3rd round.

Quick fix is super glue, make sure use a wet towel and glaze thru the whole side wall but NOT letting the glue dry itself..you want a thin layer of the CA on the side way, possible a very outside edge of the tires...depends on how much traction you will have on the carpet. Also...only on front tires...on rear tires, I only put very little on the side wall (not the edge) just to make the rear side wall stiffer.

i'm not sure to understand the process (i'm french , i'm not used to speak technical language). What do you do with the wet towel ? what's exactly is a glaze ? do you have a ref maybe ?

Thank you
