I figured that the setup won't be like the F104 besides this is my first venture into an F1 car. Been running TC and WGT for awhile. I just changed the mounting of my steering servo to get the battery further forward and that seems to have helped. I'm running a shorty pack of course.
I hear the guys at Norcal are running hard rears and medium fronts for pavement. I have both medium and soft fronts but I'm currently stuck with the Pardus and the Ride R1 premounts for the rear as the preferred rears were out of stock.

I'm gonna try to get some track time in tomorrow.
Wish me luck.

I am having the same problem. My F-1 pushes really bad around turns. I don't what kind of set up I should do. I am running Silver spring up front and on the sides. For the middle I am running what the kit came with alone with the shock oil that it came with also.

Would like to know what most of you running for a good set up. I am trying the wide arms right now to see how it does. I like them but can't for the life of me get this thing to stop pushing. Going in and out of turns.

Also with foam tires are you all cutting them down? If so what are you cutting them to? Front and rears. I had someone tell me that I needed to cut the tires down.

If you are using a shorty pack, I think it's important to get it as far forward as possible. My balance has improved quite a bit by doing this.

Ran the car yesterday and initially it was terrible. (Low to Med grip asphalt, smooth) Pushed like crazy and would spin out under power. (couldn't get any heat into the tires)
The things that fixed it from the base setup are as follows:

1) Medium rear and soft front tires
2) Silver springs in front
3) All shims under steering blocks (leave out 1mm spacer on kingpins for added droop "optional")
4) Silver side springs just touching to 0.5mm gap (depending on grip level)
5) 5mm ride height rear (lowest I could get with rubber tires)
6) 5.5mm mid
7) 4.5mm front
8) 25% drag brake to gain corner entry steering

9) 2mm under forward link ball (rear steering)

Grand Finale at The Gate this weekend. Should be several 04 cars in the house. UF1 rules. First true test of the car. I'll have some pictures to post later.

Pictures are posted on the NORCAR R/C FB site. I ended up winning F1 with my VBC Flash. It takes a different driving style. You can't throw the car around, you really have to be smooth. Didn't break anything or have any real problems with the car.

actually had time to work on the F2012 body...

Need to cut in the rear to take into account the CF plates that stick out

Also need to cut the front to fit the arms AND the steering link that moves outwards...

Still need to sand and smooth the outer edges and figure out a livery...

I found out that running a stiffer spring in the middle calmed down the push out the car was doing on me. I am running a Team Associated Touring Spring(#3946 - copper, 25lbs.) for my middle spring.

Now should I cut my foam tires? If so what size should they be? I was told that need to be.

Should be getting mine at the end of the week and I plan on coming, hoping to also have the state races there next season. A bunch of us are pushing really hard for an F1 class.

3 of us in St. Louis have them. We've raced them on asphalt and have been practicing on carpet. The car is so fun to drive that my tc has just been collecting dust since I got it.
