Default Weekend Schedule

With the UF1 Midwest Series in town this weekend our weekend schedule will be this.

i have had numerous text,pm,spacebook questions about this weekend, so here is the schedule.

Our carpet offroad will still run on Friday, on-road will be available until 4-5p.m.

UF1 Series has the track starting at 9 a.m. saturday morning with a 12:30 start time. We expect to be finished around 5 p.m. and then the track will be open practice until 8 p.m.

Sunday we will open at 9 a.m. with racing starting at 12, USVTA/USGT(regular race fee unless running UF1 series), will be the only 2 classes to run with the UF1 event.

The UF1 Series is an 8 race series over 4 weekends, (Harbor,Hot Slots,Hobby Stop West), with your best 5 race days counting towards your point total.

Pitlane is in place, and the "curbs of death" are out and in play.

Eric

In regards to the "curbs of death"......

I was at the last round of the Midwest All Star race, racing F1 with the "curbs of death" in place. Just stay away from them and all will be well

However, and this is not a rip on the track or anyone there, those types of curbs aren't really condusive to close, tight racing. Removing them would reduce the amount of corner marshalling required by at least 50%. Just something to consider - curbing should be able to be "attacked" occasionally, not promise a barrel roll every time. Again this is not meant to insult or cause anger.

Thanks Jeff, always interested on comments from folks who come in from out of town.

I typically will only use them in an engineered slower part of the layout were putting a "rounded" pipe/board corner and sandbag can be troublesome. Or when using the "clik trak" pre made corners would cause the inevitable "it's to tight there" comment. As it was with the chicane section at the end of the straight last time.

Have fun you guys! Pit stop strategy can be a deal breaker or maker... use them wisely.

You're not a rookie. Stop sand bagging.

That doesn't make you a rookie, just unfortunate.

Default uf1 midwest

hey guys, love the smack talk, it should make attending this event alot of fun. Myself and fellow racer eric coon will be attending both days of racing. We will be bringing two f103 chassis with 104 front ends to narrow them down. Budget was tight we each had to purchase esc, batteries, motors, charger, 104 front clip and tires. This is the reason behind the 103 project, could not afford new chassis yet, in do time. Figured i had a bucket load of the 103 rollers hangin round id go for that solution. Now my next question, out of lack of money i purchased the newset flysky transmitter and rec. Now i have heard all sorts of things, bad and good about this radio, i have a few options with fm gear i have. In your expert opinion, which system to you recommend i install?
Here are some photos of the cars i will be bringing, the jordan 192 will be entered in the concourse

I love the curbs of death, if angle of trajectory is correct you can pass some one... Only works 10% of the time
