Well, yeah, but I'm usually wayyy out in front of him LOL!

I know you brake before the turn, however, I usually come in hot and pump the brakes and let off them right before entering the turn. This shifts the weight forward and drops the front end to give more traction while entering the turn. I could be wrong though, but thats how I thought you were supposed to do it. I tried letting off the throttle before the turn and coasting through it, seemed much slower to me. I'm always open to opinions/suggestions on how to go faster!

Yea I am a Toledo Racer from Sandusky and the other tracks are between 5-6 hours for me, hopefully we'll get a solid turn out at all events though! The Toledo date coincides with one of our points series and we pull 14-20 local cars on one of our scheduled 'F1' days so should be good turnout there and worth the drive.

Thanks for any info.

Here in Toledo we run it as our 'spec tire', we started as a TCS series that ran Pits and slowly have adopted the UF1 car rules outside of sticking to the 180mm width and we spec'd a tire. It seems to be a good and durable tire so far and relatively cheap to get a set of 4.

Rob, Madison F1 is going well. If you get a chance, stop up for a visit.
f1paintlab is the supplier for the Pardus tires and he should be restocking this week.

I think NOT!!!

Late braking will usually cause you to spin out since you don't have the front wheels doing any of the braking (like using a one-way in TCs).

Built this f103 based chassis with f104 front end. Hoping to run it, need electronics!

What's involved for getting the rear within spec? There's a racer here that has a 103 that could run in the event.

Don't listen to Dave for braking advice....pretty sure I got hammered twice this weekend with his "letting off early" mumbo jumbo.

Rear is easy, use F104 rims and tires. The rear width of the F103 is all in the rims. The big issue after that is ride height. The F103 axle height is lower in the side plates and the increased tire/wheel diameter puts it off the ground a bit higher. An F104 motor pod will fix that.
