I hope you guys like the looks of the front so far. I will be making more parts still but I am going to have to fit them in as I have a few of jobs I have to get through the machines. I let a few things sit while I got this done so now I have to play a little catch up.

Do you have plans of trying to get the rules changed so the front end will be usable at bigger events ? Thanks

He posted earlier that dual wishbone front end is only not allowed in WGT. It's legal in 1/12.

Even that is somewhat up in the air as it depends on which rules the race is following. ROAR's WGT rules set allows for a double wishbone suspension but the original independant rule set that most people follow states sliding kingpin.

That is correct. This front end is 100% legal for roar events or any big events for that matter.

I cut some more front end parts today. I need to finish the front end at this point before showing any more pics. I am thinking next week some time. This is one exotic looking front end. I am very pleased with it.

The worst part of not being a machinist anymore is wanting to have GibbsCam and a Haas VF2 at home.

Ok,good news. I just read through the ROAR rulebook online and see that there is no rule against double wishbone front suspension in WGT or 1/12th. It only states rules against independant rear suspension. It must be a solid rear axle. Looks like we are good to go for both classes.

The closer I get to completing the car the more I think I am going to change the color of the aluminum parts. I am thinking flash nickel now. Give it a shiny bling look. Or would you rather it black? What do you guys think?

Look at the pics of the on-point chassis for the 12R5.1/2. It's all black anodized and looks real dull. I like the idea of if a bright nickel/chrome look. All the other anno colors are taken by other brands.

I did like the hard anno grey on the DB12RR's though.
