I am a little behind on the prototype but things are moving along. I hope to be testing this car for its final production settings within a few weeks. Once everything is finalized, production will begin. I am confident that things will move along quickly.

I am just about finished machining the front arms for the car. This thing is going to be very exotic. I am actually exceeding my own expectations. I cant wait to finish the car up. This is going to some serious eye candy. I really hope you guys appreciate all the little details when you see it completed.

Hey Jason,

I know this isn't the right thread, but a quick question - I ordered a set of BMIDB6805 from Stormer (last set they had). They came in and they didn't seem like they were aluminum, and they also didn't seem as heavy as steel would be (but I could be wrong). They were shiny 8-32 front screws for a DB12 I think.

What material are they made of? (my car was under weight, so adding 4gm of extra weight to get some more solid front end screws isn't a problem, it's actually quite nice.)

They seem way harder than aluminum. Maybe stainless?

Oh and I am itching to see the front arms Jason!

The ones that were used with the first double wishbone suspension were stainless. The ones that come stock with the kit are the same ones that come with the IRS lower front suspension arm.

If they are 5/8 long they are aluminum. If they are 1/4 or 3/8 long, they are stainless steel and from the double wishbone suspension i made.

I am not quite sure where the price tag will land yet. Its not going to be inexpensive but i will be keeping the price as low as possible. I am sorry that i cant give a definitive answer but i really dont have a target price. I am making the best car i can without putting any cost limitations. I will let you have a better idea as i get closer to completion.

Whenever I see "no target price" or "cost is no object" I think of this:

I dont want to scare anyone. At the rate I am going, now this can change, I am looking at somewhere in the $300.00 range. Mind you, this car will be loaded with CNC machined parts. In the longrun will still be cheaper than anything out there as there will be nothing to upgrade unless you want to run flex plates. Then you would just need to buy them and the pivots. Other than that, it comes with all the trick parts you could want.

Any chance parts of the copperhead would carry over? I know the chassis, pod and front end will be different but if the axle, damper tubes and center shock are the same could you put out a conversion kit minus those parts for a lower price option?

The axle, shock and tubes will be the same. I can offer an upgrade kit. I will price it out once all is said and done.
