On 27mhz, they're compatible. If you look real close at the pic, it looks like the Receiver is a 27mhz unit.

I know that's a 7-cell brushless setup but 60mph? Sounds like an exaggeration to me.
Remember what they say about strengthening parts by replacing them with aluminum? Its something about how they will just transfer the damage to another part of the car. In this case everything has been beefed up but the chassis itself and that is obviously where all the impact force went to.
Amazing picture though.
