Tech Adept
-surface finish
-rear drive axles
-chassis shape (most definately not 417x shape and it's even a little off from the original 416 chassis shape)
-rear diff
-battery holding system
-rear body mounts
-the whole front bumper assembly
-turnbuckles and ballends
-shock towers (mounting positions)
-screws (the original trf screws have some kind of shiny finish
And that's quiet much it

Well, he should care if its a clone, especially if he traded a Summit for it! I'd be pissed if that happened to me.

I found a video of one of those things in motion
Having seen that I really wouldn't want to race this clone.

looking at the dampers and the ballcups i would say clone..
i had one of these 3 years ago, i replaced the diff internals, suspension and shocks to tamiya ditos and it was really nice (had those parts already, otherwise it would been a expensive kit)

do you think it is still worthy to buy genuine parts to replaced it one at a time??and would it be a direct fit?? going back on the video above mine is smoother than on the video, i have a tc6 which is about the same smoothness. i thought i had a great deal trading my new summit for it, really pissed me off..

My 1st post to be of something negative, traded a guy my champ 416x for a 416we with smokem deck, just to find out today that the car is a clone, not a very happy chap now
