Default Touring Body Comparison

Don't know if there is a thread on here comparing all the bodies that are being used out there now. Any information on how one body compares to another. Like how the Ride Accord compares to the PF Mazda 6 or how the Yokomo Stratus Type E compares to the PF Stratus 3.0 AP or the Tamiya B4 V2 compares to the Losi Skoda 2 or any of those to any of the other ones, I'm just throwing some out there. Or just any opinions or views on how a body feels on the track, asphalt or carpet.

Go ahead and stir this pot Mr. Howard.

As per the request of this thread.
here are my very opinions
the PF Mazda 6 is great for asphalt just about any track you take it, it will preform well.
The Stratus 3 is very simular to the 6 at least it stays stable.
The Ride accord has mroe steering than the 6 and the stratus 3.
The Rayspeed Accord is more like the Ride, stable and steering is better.
The Yokomo E Startus has probably the most steering out there and can make your car feel very twitchy. I don't run that body anymore.
The three I like the most right now is the
PF Mazda 6 Just because no matter the track I run on it proforms well
Ride TSX Accord because it has more steering and it is very stable also...Just not for every track.
PF Stratus 3 AP is the new Mazda 6. better handling but feels alot alike.
The Ride MKII stratus has a little more steering than the Accord but isn't as much as the E Strat.
Also the Nemisus is a stable platform but feels slow to the others listed
Of course this is a comparision on asphalt only.
Hope this helps,
Stephen <><

I really like the Nemesis body. It feels VERY slow and stable. Although it feels slow, it's just as fast as a PF Mazda6. Its a great body for high speed sweeping turns. Not to hot in the infield.

For foam tire carpet, there is only one answer. PARMA ALFA. I've also had great success running the Alfa on asphalt with foams.

What is the best body for rear downforce and traction...I've only used the mazda 6 and i want to experiment...this is for asphalt. Also which one fells most stable? I've test driven a nemesis ani i really like the stability, but i'm looking for a ROAR legal body.

I agree the Parma Alfa is the only body for foam tires on carpet

for asphalt the mazda 6 is my favorite I also like the new pf staratus 3 all purpose

if you want a body for asphalt with a little more rear traction than front that is very easy to drive go with the losi alfa

Mr. Shookie's evaluation is right in line with my experience. You can't go wrong with the Mazda 6. The only difference I've found, is that the Stratus is stable but not quite as much downforce, which might be advantageous on big/flowing tracks with high traction. The yokomo Type E Stratus is twitchy and only used when you are looking for more steering (maybe with a spool). Although all the differences are fairly subtle (at least relative to how much you can feel the changes).

What bodies do you prefer for rubber tire carpet racing?
Is there any "must-have"?

Mazda 6 and Stratus 3.0 AP are the usual suspects. Can't go wrong with a Stratus 2.0 either. I like to set my car up with the Nemesis shell (very stable with a small push [slight understeer])
