Default Your top3 10.5T blinky 1s motors

Hi!
Alex from Sweden here.
We are currently racing 13.5 boosted in 12th scale but are considering switching to 10.5 blinky. Not much experience of anything other cuz the scene is so small so the only class is 13.5 boosted.

We need advice. We got esc and batteries figured out but what about timing on motors? Rollout spectrum for all kinds of sized tracks and so on.

Your top three fastest motors 10.5 are? Thinking different motors for different type of tracks. What would be best for each. One large sized track rpm. One tight track torque and a good all around type.

The class is growing rapidly and I believe even more will join if the boosted aspect goes away. Three motor to recommend so confusion is less for what to buy.

would appreciate all the help we could get.

Alex

10.5 blinky is an unusual class int he States. I am not sure if anyone races it. The class below modified is usually 13.5 blinky. That said, the Reedy stock range of motors (10.5, 13.5, 17.5, and 21.5) does pretty well in both blinky and timing ESC classes.

Oh, thanks. Mostly the Brits running 10.5 blinky. I suppose 13.5 blinky advisement would do just as well.

At the following track most people were running from 63mmpr to 70mmpr with 10.5 blinky. The exact setting depended on whether the motor was torquey or a revving motor.

Trinity D3.5
Reedy Sonic
Thunder Power Z3R

The D3.5 is the current go to spec motor but I think that once you figure out timing and gearing they all go about the same.

Good info. You seem to agree on what to buy. TP I can go get right away. The other I have to order. Got TP lipos so.
Got Tekin Rs. Can't seem to upgrade it to 223 from 212 but it makes no difference in performance, right? Mostly for the ability to save set ups and stronger breaks.

BTW. If I am going to try 13.5 blinky. Rollout and timing on a Novak Ballistic? Short high grip track.

Thank
Alex

Default 10.5 blinky in Uk

We run this class in the Uk , its ur stock class and sunday mod day those that don't want to run Open mod run 10.5 blinky again in the sportsman class

By far the best motor and it won the last nationals is the Reedy sonic, 42.5 can timing around 70mm rollout.

The revtech 10.5 which is a d3 derivative also very good.

Thunder power 10.5 and LRP X12

but reedy for me.
