New 1:12 Body from PROTOform: the TR-12

1 Attachment(s)
For all you 1:12 racers, here is our latest creation, the PROTOform TR-12.

Input from our team of drivers was used to improve the shape, while taking styling cues from a highly-successful factory-works hybrid LMP that made its debut at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans, then went on to win 3 WEC series races.

For more info and photos, visit our website or Facebook page! Thanks!

What can we expect for handling characteristics ? Compared to other bodies on the market? Intended for mod, stock ?

If you go to their website they talk about the dorsal fin for the fast cars, implying mod. Keven Hebert is used as the paint model and he doesn't run stock, so I'd have to say it's for mod. Allthough I have never had a bad body running the slower 1/12 classes.

It's designed for Mod class - for low bite & outdoor racing. (like in Japan) In the winter there's a lot of clubs that run on cold carpet here in the north east. Not ideal for bite usually.
Here's a few more angles.

Hi Dale,

The e-clip is coming off the left front axle...

LOL.

Looks great as always. I know there are a lot of tracks out there, and especially overseas that need a higher down force modified body.

Although, my guess is it will work quite well here too.

Take care.-Bruce

Not even close. The BombR is just a PF AMR-12 with a tweak to the nose. Mohawk looks nothing like either.

oh how I hope this works well on high bite carpet too.....

If ever there was any question about Bruce's eye for even the smallest detail on a 1/12th scale car.....that question has been put to rest.

Just in time to go on to my new 12R5.2!

Neither of these statements are even remotely accurate. If that's the case then every current 12th scale body is just a re-worked Parma Speed8. Can't we all just appreciate new releases for this class, rather than whining about perceived similarities?
