Hi I'm just wondering what the effect is of lowering the rear diff and/or
the front spool in the Stallion?

If you could help please Mark.

Oden -

My notes around this are;

-high, will make the car run flat but more responsive.
-low, will increase onpower steering

Generally, I run low front (spool) and high rear (diff).

Two things to watch for;
1- as bite increases the rear might feel it wants to drive over the front. TIme to start lowering the rear diff

2- if the car feel too twitchy off-center; raise the front.

could we attempt a conversion from a regular chassis to a Shin edition ?
Granted that would be costly, just wanted to know if with just the new center bulkhead and the chassis it would be enough to convert?

Thx

Patrick

Hi Patrick.

The key parts needed would include;

-Revised steering assembly
-Shin upper and lower graphite
-Shin right bulkhead
-Shin graphite rear X brace

There are also thicker shower towers and wider suspension block mount. The key parts listed above would get you pretty close.

The setups are pretty adaptable from the Stallion to the Shin Edition.

Good luck!

Aside from other owners here on this thread, you can also look at www.kyosho.com .

Let us know the track type and surface and we can steer you the right way.

Hi Andy

I would start with the Protoform Mazda Speed6 or Mazda6. For a good outdoor setup, try the setup I post some pages back.

Good luck

Is there a 5 cell chassis available? I remember seeing some pics of one of the Japanese drivers cars with the standard stallion bulks, but the cells were moved more in toward the centerline with 5 cells.
