78 will definately fit.
would have to check regarding 81, off the top of my head I think this is the max before protuding below chassis.

Questions?? Brushless Installation

I have a TA05 into which I am trying to install a LRP Sphere brushless ESC.

How has everyone else managed to squeeze the ESC into the chassis? Pictures of your installations would be appreciated.

Where any chassis modifications required to fit it in? Does the snug fit cause any overheating problems?

fits nice and snug in there and it has no overheating problems at all. My ESC has gotten to only about 105 or so.

Hi

Yes the 81 spur is the biggest you can fit without it sticking out the bottom of the chassis ( 80 is the biggest i run with my 4.5T BL motor )

nice setup looks just like mine. But question about the weights on the battery hold down. Don't you get alot of roll with the weight being that high?

Hi

I have not had it set up this way for very long ( just converted to lipo's ) I'm still working on set up & chassis balance , not alot of places to put weight on the old tub , still it's no higher than the centre pully mount & the motor is still a bit higher again so i think it balances out ( still testing )

What is your set up like ?

See ya

about 3/4 of a stick of weight but i have them sitting on the battery tray part. weight doesn't fall out and i just raised the battery holder pins up to accomodate the weight and the battery. I will try and get a pic of it.

Thanks for the excellent piccies.

I have the opportunity to buy some cheap EVO IV MS spares (C-hubs, Wishbones, etc... ). Does anyone know if they are compatible with the TA05-R?

Hi there just want to ask about ta-05 hop ups.
Is ther any difference between Tamiya and 3Racing "front one way"?
except for the price and brand name

Are all 3racing products fit perfectly in Tamiya Ta05?
eg. steering link, graphite front and rear shock tower and alum bulk head.

cheers!
