Nexxus,

I don't have IFS. I believe it's purpose is to allow use of low bodies. I imagine there are more parts to break.

If your going to race brushless, take note until the end of the year. PRECC only allows 13.5 in brushless (anything in mod).
Next year should be as per AARCMCC (to be confirmed so don't quote me) with 17.5BL and 27T Brushed in Stock and a Super Stock 10.5BL and 19T Brushed. AARCMCC have a list of approved motors on their site.

I thought you might like to see how beautifully the Tekin RS ESC fits in the TA05. I wanted to mount it 90° clockwise from where it is now so the cap would fit nicely into that nook near the motor, but the sensor cable that came with the SpeedPassion 13.5 is really short. Still loads of extra room though. This little ESC can handle 5.5BL or any brushed.

Here's a view of my set up. I'm using two Capacitors for mod motors. Can you see the second?

It's there under the battery power leads inside the chassis tub. Got to love the small sizes of Tekin products. Small ESC and small caps.

What's that on top of your servo? That's quite a small receiver you got!

That is an AlleyCat/iLap transponder. The receiver is between the servo and motor, it is a Spektrum micro Rx.

Here is the problem with set up sheets: There are five of us using TA05s at our parking lot track which is different each week. All five of us are usually within a lap of each other but we all have different set ups which we find during practice. Which one would you like?

It is best to start with a baseline set-up (the one the manual suggests is always a good starting point) and then note the changes you make and what effect it has. Set up sheets make rough toilet paper.

I'll give you my latest but it will change next Sunday.

Not sure if you was trying to mesh a 64p pinion. I have had a 72T/48p on mine with 30-34T pinions. check your spur and pinion to make sure they match up 48/48 or 64/64 not 48/64 or 64/48.

I'm running 36/69 48p.

Questions??

I do have 1 question. with the shock towers. When using the kit towers is there a difference when using the CF towers?

CF has very little flex, plastic flexes a lot. Any changes you make to shocks, springs and fluid are meaningful.

More position choices and a wider body mount in the rear.
