I do !

Well, let us know how you get on, the only 'issue' I got with the TA05 at the moment for carpet is that the chassis has a little 'to much flex' which may make the car had to tune.

The TA05 is my first belt-driven car.

What tension should the belts be and how should I check this? When is it too loose or too tight?

Due to variable humidity the tension varies a bit.

Well, when I just run silver can and sport tuned motors, I can run it pretty loose, like being able to lightly press the belt down to barely touch the chassis parts below.

For 19T, I run it one notch tighter than when I could press it down that far.

I've only tried asphalt, so carpet may need to be even tighter because there's no give in the tires...

I'd probably try one notch tighter for mod, but that 19T tightness should be a good average to start with, especially with variable temps like that.

Also, I'm running the aramid belts, not sure if regular ones need different settings..

Ok. I have aramid belts and after installating them according to the manual they felt tight. Now after they've been in open air the're loose.

I guess I will tighten them a bit as I am running on carpet next weekend.

Thanks very much.

ttso,

Nice try We might have it under the Speed Tech R/C lable and if it can still remain cost effective, we might also include a titanium screw kit that will work with this new conversion kit.

Sounds more like Tech Racing or Kai Models doing their version of the TA05.

Will UK users be able to buy these items?? I am mostly interested in stiffening the stock chassis and don't want to go down the route of a new chassis/top deck/bulkheads/motor mount.
