1. Is there any required hop-ups to race?

3. What batteries should I look for to run silver cans for like 15 minutes-20 minutes?
Thanks .

2) I would stick to rubber tyres so you dont have to worry about roll out and coning.
3) Unless your club rules state there is a restriction on what cells you can use, get the best you can afford, as the 540's are a bit of a slouch in power and need some oomph behind them to get them going. If you are on a tight budget though, go for 3300mah or higher

But they are prone to flipping over easier I havnt seen the need to upgrade to aramid belts and if anything the black standard belts are probably a little more durable so you wont be replacing them so often.

correction here, the aramid belts are the same lenght, width and tooth pitch, the difference is, they are a lot more flexible, so you don't get the resistance to bend that you get with the stock belts.
On the downside, they need a lot more caring for and are not as robust.

Raced my TA05R with foams (nitro foams, 38R/35F) with 2 diffs...no option except the standard "R" bling bling.....car was great. just as good as all the high end brand (RDX, 007 , Mi2EC....etc) Definitely fast enough to hang with team drivers.........I don't have the time to setup/fine tune the car to make it a little bit more steering. Nor I don't have extra springs or parts to adjust that...so I ran it box stock without sway bar....
I think I will try adding the rear sway bar to gain some steering....also, 4.5 is totally USELESS there......way too fast and the top cars are running like 10.5/19T motor.........that I will have to install next time.
4.5 brushless with lipo....probably is good for 1/8th on road track. This is my 1st time running 4.5 and very impress about the speed but it is no match to the 10.5 for the infield speed.
Overall....very impressed with the $200 plastic car.........

Hop Ups
This may be a newbie question, but here it goes anyway.
I see a lot of hop ups made by Tobee, Yeah Racing, 3Racing. Are they as good as Tamiya? Is any one of them better than others?
I was looking at Universals, steering sets, titanium turnbuckles, and one ways.
Thanks for any help!
(and I have tried looking through this thread- but it's really long!)
