I run a second TA05 for Tamiya races, have only used Tamiya hop ups, and now am facing waiting on an answer if my clear blue bulkheads (Part 49390) are legal as the Australian distributor hasn't brought them in yet. (Strangely they say the M03M chassis is legal in Mini class, but they haven't brought that in yet either?!?!)

I believe last year at the Tamiya track, 23T were geared down to around 5.76-5.9 area.

23T were geared down to around 5.76-5.9 area.
so what pinion can be used with a 70T spur to attain to these ratio?
Lucky boy, you only need 2 pinions!

I've already loosened the front belt so that the little dot on the bearing holder is right in the middle (thats two notches looser than the manual says to go) but it's still very tight....where could my problem be coming from?
I'm worried it may be that the pinion is meshing too tight with the spur gear but I'm not sure how tight it should be
help me please
