I just picked up the Xenon chassis , motor mount and top plate. This thing is 20g. heavier with all the supports chassis braces and screws then the stock chassis is with only the chassis braces. This chassis will bring the car well under weight so I can put weight anywhere I want it.

When I get the aluminum diff halves in I will finish the build up.

At least 3 weeks at an A main pace. If you are not running in the 11.5`s or faster then 5 weeks or more. If the car is not sliding around the corner.

Hey Slot, I rec'd my screws today and was able to drop 15 grams with just the flat head screws alone!! I figure I can drop another 5-8 grams once I order an install the alum. button heads. The 15 bucks was worth it!!! My wife even said, "how cool".

Anyone here that post frequently in RCtech that ran a TA05 in TCS? Reveal yourself. Only podium finishers are needed. I need some setup tips.

you running rwd mini as well? any ideas on setup for that? prolly outta use pms for this off topic discussion...
Wes,

I do plan to run RWD Mini but I haven't run on pavement since the nationals in 03. The RWD cars were not competitive at that event because of the gear rules. I ran my FWD MO3L last time at Memphis and ended up mid pack in the A. PM me for ideas.

Hey wait this is the TA05 site. Any suggestions on gear ratio for a TA05 at Memphis?

See you in Memphis.

Hey Slotmachine, 15 bucks for an Aluminium Screw set for the TA05? Where? I've seen the titanium one (#49360 aroun 40 bucks) on ebay, but no aluminium and I need to take weight off the TA05.... right now it is heavier than my TT01 hopped up!!! However, they cannot be compared, the 05 is amazingly smoother than my tt01 AND my Mission!! To take some weight off (I already have TRF shocks and sway bars) I'm thinking on:
- carbon shock stays
- carbon battery plate
- aluminum turnbucles
Do you think that with help to take let's say around 60 grams off? I plan to buy a Futaba s9550 servo that is 15 grams heavier than my current one

Finally, is the #49360 an metric hex set? 2mm driver??

thanks a lot, cheers,
