Don't think this has been posted yet.

I've just fitted the Xenon CF kit on the TA05 and it weighs in at 30g lighter than before. My '05 nows weighs 1510g ready to run.

madjack: thats an impressive looking car you got there.

If I weren't trying to stay TCS legal with my car, that chassis kit might be worth shaking the piggy bank for!

thanks, it's an interesting addition, really wakes the car up from a steering perspective. I'll be looking forward to testing the tamiya spool they release soon

I am gonna wait fot the carbon chassis from Tamiya. My car certainly has NO shortage of steering. So, now it's just a matter of waiting for the light parts so it'll compete in GT2-3!

All my efforts to this point have been based around taking away steering. So I don't need anymore "waking up" in that area on the car.

I am disappointed. Not a word about that Tamiya Carbon Fiber chassis yet. I would have thought that they would have a least had it ready for December in Japan, but they usually pre-announce stuff about a month in advance and there has been no announcement on the Japan English website.

Diff screws will always be available, since most Tamiya models use the same screw.. 414/415/Evo/TB-02/TA04-05, etc..

They tend to be under the 7-digit spare-parts order numbers, not the 5-digit ones.. at least that's how my hobby shop orders them, they have a few pairs of them on the rack all the time, and I've been through a couple before..

Get your hobby shop to try #49350, that's what the TA05 manual says, but that's the 2 screws and 2 locknuts in one package..

Otherwise, the 7-digit number for the pair of screws themselves is 9805669 or 9949350.

You'll get them somehow..

I'm with you on this one. I have grown tired of plate chassis cars. I like the tub chassis that the car came with, but I like the Carbon Fibre one even better.

There has been some question as to whether or not they will even produce it. The fact that they showed it at the one event in what appeared to be production form makes me believe that they will.

But the silence surrounding it these days has me a little worried. Wish we had a Tamiya rep that visited this board regularly to answer stuff like this.

Did anyone ever answer the question about where this blue motor mount came from?

no, but since it's in xenon website, could it be from xenon? maybe they will release this into production in future? dunno, just my thought (and wish).
