Default FDR for 48 or 64 pitch

Do you use the same FDR formula for both 48 and 64 pitch gears?

64 pitch will allow you finer FDR adjustments as opposed to 48 pitch. Plus it will be smoother and quieter. If you are running on carpet just run 64. Outdoors on asphalt I'm not sure what would require you to switch to 48 as I don't run asphalt.
