Home safe. Stuart and I had a great time. My races left me humbled, but determined to improve. Stuart was absolutely charged up by the whole experience and couldn't stop talking about it all the way home.
Thanks to the whole 5280 crew for a fantastic event. You guys did a great job and should be proud of your effort! We will be back!

The 5280 crew bent over backwards to host this race! Awesome job you guys. From prep, to announcing, to accommodations, entertainment, facility, raffle, timely schedule.... bravo, well done! Traction was high on Bodine-o-meter which made me really focus on set up. I fell short, but learned a lot. A race like this always elevates my game for the next. I had a blast racing the "guys" trying to win out personal achievements while trying to bring it to the next level. I found Rick Howart to be most inspirational. Silky smooth, right there, never saw him out of control. Super race! Glad to be part of it. Man, it was nice to sleep in!

Thanks to everyone who came out! This was a blast and hope everyone's travels home were safe getting where they were going!
I have sifted through the 1400 pics that I snapped and put the ones that were keepers up on our website: http://5280raceway.com/photos/?album...45159114037281 All these pics are as they came off the camera, I didn't have any time to do any clean up on them - but they look pretty solid as-is. I said this at the track - capturing Mod 1/12 and Mod TC on camera is about the most difficult thing I've done with a camera so far! Once they hit the straight its like they bend time and space.
If anyone wants higher resolution/raw images from this album feel free to PM me with the image number you want.
I'll leave you with this though:

Nice art!
And the picture of Paul above... it's almost like future Paul dropped by to see how his younger, less meth addicted version of himself was doing

Videos of all 3 modified A mains are uploading now. I also grabbed A3 of 17.5 sedan.
Thanks to everybody that helped make this race happen. It was as nearly flawless as a big event can be. All my 5280 brothers, who have put forth so much effort, you guys are awesome. Some of the most prominent drivers in North America said we've got the best track around.
Lars Johnson, you killed it on the mic all weekend my friend. Should you ever want to play on the carpet sometime, give me a shout and I'll make it happen. All the guys that helped with tech, thanks so much! It was easy and smooth, and not a single complaint was heard around the building.
And finally, thanks to everybody both local and afar that traveled to our happy little home to race with us. I hope we delivered on the promise of giving you a lot of track time, and trying to do a big race right without the headaches. By Friday people were saying this was the highest grip they've seen since the foam tire days. We never expected that to happen, but hopefully it led to plenty of meaningful testing.
I feel like a proud parent. I'm glad we got to share with other racers what we've been working so hard to cultivate around here. Thanks again to everybody that helped make it a reality.
