It will be early morning for the States when Round 4 is completed.
Masami made the biggest jump he must have made the wrong change to the car inbetween 1+2. Looks like about 13 sec laps.

So no new testing was really required except to figure out final drive ratio.

Kyosho ???
What I am interested in is: Did the Kyosho guys (Lemieux, Cyrul) show up ? And if so,which car did they use ?

Rick-- You are right, the pivot points were changed althoughnot a whole lot so the geometry is close enough to say its the same. I think the problem with the losi is that the main pivot points (ie. the arm mounts and the hubs) are to close together. This leads to a car that would react very quickly, however it could be reacting to fast. This would force a driver to look for new tuning ideas while setting up the car. The fact that they have had a year and still can 't figure it out is what scares me about the car.

When we are at the subject of "unnormal" cars:
Have anyone of you had a close look at the Corally RDX? The suspension geometry isn't anywhere close to "normal". The arms are short, and the upper links are long. The ackerman isn't quite good either. Despite of this Simo and Sakke make the car go fast, very fast.
The person who impresses me the most at the moment is Juho Levanen. Being up there with Rheinard, Masami and Hara pushing 23 laps. He still runs the TC4 right? Wow, thats amazing. The TC4 hasn't been going really well until now, seems like Juho finally cracked the TC4 nut.

He'd cracked it at the worlds. You would be expecting Barry Baker to be the top AE guy.

Makes you wonder if its only come out as they were already tooled up for the mouldings and had no option but to sell it as it had all come so far? Have you seen the hassle the guys have had on the JRXS thread about 3700's not fitting? On the same post one of the reasons for the delays in the car coming out was apparently the fact they were redesigning it to fit 3700's and 3800's and it seems neither fits without a lot of cutting Some redesign.

Barry Baker, who is that??
I knew Juho was good, but not extreme. Being one of the 4 persons to have 23 rounds. The three others have won a couple of WC's summed up.
The Schumacher team is doing well also, with Andersson and Leino in the top ten.
@V12: Do you hav any pics of any prototype Schumacher drivetrain? Something like a more conventional belt-setup?

Doesn't Hupo Hönigl run the JRX-S? He is a touring guy and is used to rubber on carpet. When he can't make the car work then something must be wrong.

Much of Losi's team, at least their US team, are very good drivers but are not on the on-road level of guys like Rheinard, Surikarn, etc. No one can argue that.

For your information, only Teemu and the new Sweeden champion run for Schumacher.........
Jonas = TAMIYA 415MS = Team TRF

Oh no, my bad. That makes the Tamiya train even stronger.......
It seems to me that Matt Francis is quite capable of doing well in touring. As mentioned in my post, he was in the A-main last WC. Everyone else sucked, since Francis placed so high? Or?
