V12.
Great pics.......all of them. Well done.
We seem to be discussing bodyshells more than anything else here.
The winds supplied with my Excel Stratus are identical to that on the Yokes except for just having 2 strenghtening ribs instead of 4. We plan to try different wings though.
The body itself is definately the Stratus 2.
Some fancy paint jobs on those shells. No good for the likes of me though.

The carpet is a "TapiFloor Bonanza" and the color is called "Cornflower". Does that help?

Where can we get it?
After the race can it be used or it is only for 3-4 days of such use? etc

Hi guys!!
Great report V12 THANKS YOU VERY MUCH!!!
I read somewhere some drivers were still using GP3300, I thought that was weird since the GP3700 doesn't give only a capacity/runtime advantage but is also more punchy..
Were the A-main finalist all running GP3700 batts?
Cheers!

Simply the best R/C report you have done there! Much more better than those RC magazines out there! Cheers!
Im just wondering why was Masasi changing his speedo between heats? The GM and the KO?? Because of the sponsorship as the GM is from Germany??
Which speedo did Masami use in the the finals??

I think they may give a different feel, he has run GM speedos for years now and now he has a speedo named after himself. Must just be what he likes.

Thanks guys. Some more pictures tomorrow.
Masami had been testing a lot of things all the time including ESC´s and wings. At least as his mechanic Umino did all the wrenching.
On sunday he was using the VFS-1.

Is that you, Gunther?
Reto and me were guessing the whole time, who´s V12...... ;-)
Great report and nice pictures, but you are missing the "infamous" brushless ride from Sunday...... ;-))
Cheers

Hi Andy
Yes that´s me.
But I think Reto should have known before from other racereports who is V12. Haha.
Yes you´re right I don´t have pictures from your "infamous" ride. But that time I just was busy with lunch and didn´t have the camera ready for operation. But watched you "practicing" with the brushless.
Just for explanation for the guys who were not at the race. After qualifying there was a demonstration with two HPI drift cars driven by Hara and Surikarn. It seems these guys had so much fun drifting around the racetrack so they wanted another sets of batteries after the first ones were dumped.
After that LRP´s Andy Krämer had another demonstration with a LRP brushless motor in his HPI Pro4. He used the same ESC for brushed motors during race and the brushless motor during the demonstration drive. This new LRP Sphere ESC is one of the very few ESC´s working with both brushed and brushless motors. It was obvisious the LRP brushless motor was faster than the 12t modified motors from the Masters class. Unfortunately Andy´s drive didn´t take too long as he hit a dot and broke his car. So I was not able finishing the meal in time and getting the camera ready for making pictures. Isn´t that a good excuse Andy for not making pictures from your ride?

Yes all the A-Main finalists were using GP3700s. But in the B-final what is a very good result also in this highclass field there were three drivers using LRP VTEC cells and one driver using SMC IB3600.
These drivers were Hupo Hönigl with the fastest Losi, Benni Gröschel (HPI) and Alex Hagberg (Xray). The SMC driver was Joel Myrberg (Xray).
