Yes that is the stock EXCEL wing...

but there is a slight differance between the EXCEL II and the MKIII...
1) Wing is different on the EXCEL(more rigid)
2) The front lip is a bit smaller on the EXCEL II vice the MKIII..... by about 2 mm so think of the EXCEL body as a half way body between the MKII & MKIII..

Joho was running Yokomo shock caps from the looks of it. It's a direct fit. They come with bladders.

Well done V12. Excellent coverage and pics.

Dave. The wings that came with my stock of Excel Stratus bodyshells are slightly different. They have 2 strenghtening ribs, not 4. Other than that, they look very similar.

The Shock caps on Juho's TC4 look like Yoke ones. As Kilruf says, they are a direct fit on AE shocks. We have been using this system for some time too. Perhaps Juho can confirm.

Thats acctually what I thought when I first saw it too....

hmm cant find a ver clear picture on Protoform website ... but those dimples (marking the wing holes normally) are very much protoform-style.

Just want to say thanks to anyone who has contributed in any way with pics, videos etc etc, it was a great event to "watch" from home

Thanks Dave for that explanation.
Yes I had the impression the front lip on Masamis and Adachis Stratus looked a little different but I wasnīt not sure on this. First thought was they had a prototyp version of the Ride as it looks soo close.
So as this one is a Excel Version II there must be at least a Version I also. Is this then between a Ride MK I and MK II?

johnbull
Thanks. As your wing looks a little different as you say do you have an Excel Version II or maybe Version I?

I have to say I found the Excel website now but as there is no English itīs difficult to find anything.
But well itīs not easy finding a Ride body but Excel will be much harder. Itīs really crazy what are available in Japan and here you donīt know that this exists at all. Just take the example of the number of wings and I think there will be even more.

Jean Alesi
I never have seen a Stratus 2.1 as I donīt race gas cars so I canīt say anything on this.

Kraig
I canīt say anything on the carpet. Itīs quite different from the carpet that is used on the tracks I race. I just know it was a new carpet for this race and the same as last year. I think Reto (burito) knows more on this.

The wing on Adachis body is the Ride Honda Accord wing, the one I have is exactly like it.

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed the LRP-TCM'05, which is certainly the most important thing...

The carpet is a "TapiFloor Bonanza" and the color is called "Cornflower". Does that help?
