What the best seal for bearings?

depends on what you are asking the seals to do. Best to keep dirt out? Best for the least rolling resistance?

Best seals to keep dirt out are the rubber sealed bearings...like those used in off-road cars.

Best seals for the least rolling resistance are "broken in" plastic seals that Acer uses in their Ceramic bearings. If you don't want to wait for them to break in then go with metal sheilds.
