Default Who Would Like To See 1/12 Scale Bodies On WGT 1/10 Cars

I love the size of WGT but I hate the bodies, I would like to see CRC or Protoform design a 1/12 scale style bodies for WGT cars. Who would race this class?

Actually, that's how 1/10 scale pan cars got started MANY years ago, same body styles that 1/12 scales still use. But when touring cars took over in the mid to late '90's, 1/10 scale pan cars pretty much died out, until the WGT class got started. I think nowadays there just isn't enough interest in them to run those bodies on a 1/10 scale, so the manufacturers no longer make them(the rules of supply & demand, you know)...

1/10 pan is no longer around due to excessive speeds being a safety issue...or something ridiculous like that.

I'd love to see smaller touring bodies on 12 scale chassis.

I'm not interested in running GTP bodies on 1/10 pan cars. The Sophia handles great we just need more WGT body choices.

I recall reading somewhere that Protoform is working on a new WGT body. Hopefully the new AE 10R5.1 will spark more interest in the class.

I think it would take off, I love 21th scale and I would pay extra for a Audi Black Art body

Just run 1/12 then.

WGT needs 2 more competitive bodies not a change to door stop bodies.

I raced 235mm back in he 90's so it would be easy to make a smaller P35

I did too. Started in 89 when the RC10L first came out. 6 cell sanyo 1400SCR's and Trinity 45deg 27T stock motors.

Those bodies were ugly. Look how popular VTA and USGT are getting. Racers want cool real looking cars.

I think WGT rules should allow any body for cars raced in FIA GT World Series.

Ferrar 458's, McLaren MP12's, Audi R8's, Corvettes, Nissan 370Z's and Skylines, Dodge Vipers, Aston DBR 9's.......

I agree, but we need one or two wedges in the mix

There are some GTP/group C bodies in 200mm scale being used overhere.

Mix Porsche 962

MIX Nissan

If people paint a body ugly it will look ugly. Back in the day those 235mm bodies were painted with flames and other color schemes that masked any shape of the body that had nothing to do with the cars they resembled. Most still paint those kind of styles today with the TC bodies. In my opinion those pro10 bodies look very nice on the track with a propper paint scheme.

WGT is not pro10!
The class is for GT cars not door wedges. Hopefully a couple more WGT shells will appear soon
