Radio question...?

I plan to buy a new radio.
The operation that locks your car if the receiver looses signal is called PCM?
You can only find that at Futaba?
Any info?

PCM is the signal encoding process, it stands for Pulse Code Modulation. Every major radio manufacturer offers PCM radios these days.

The feature that stops the car on signal loss is called "fail safe"

Just about every PCM radio has fail safe built in, you can also add an aftermarket fail safe to most FM radios.
