Jspeed,

Very very helpful insight. So what do you think about going with a Neu 1521 2900kv with a 6s? Max RPM should be about 64380. Although the max rpm for the motor is 60,000, I just wouldn't pelt the car to the limit. -Thoughts?

OK, people, I think I am going to take the plunge on this car.
I was going to get the Kyosho Inferno 1/8th scale car, but, it sells for $558.99
This one, Tower has them for $359.99
That is a huge difference for me.
Out of the box, do I need to do any thing to it.
I am just going to be a parking lot basher, don't plan on ever racing it.
Will I be happy with this one?

I recently took the plunge as well. Personally, I would go with the Pro opposed to the RTR.

Ya, but the money factor is huge.
You will need a radio, a ESC and a motor, that has to be another 3/400 bucks?
For all I'm going to do, I just can't justify the extra cash.

If money is an issue, then the RTR is a good choice. Just swap in a better servo and you're ready to go.

I personally bought the RTR and then a PRO version. Obviously the crappy dogbones and diff cups were an issue, both my RTR and PRO cars are still working well. You do get higher quality parts in the PRO roller, but that car can quickly become a $1,000 rig with electronics and hop-up parts.

I would totally buy the Pro roller and install electronics from another 1/8 to hold you off. Wait a minute, you have TWO Vorza's?! Aren't they expensive too?? Haha you dont need a Tekin/Castle to bash, but I'd rather have higher quality parts to bash with. Something to think about.

ac555, thank you so much for your advice.
About them Vorzas, they are husband and wifes
I just was not planing on dropping a grand into a 1/8 scale parking lot basher.
Money is not an issue, but, I also want to try an be smart here.

I recently ordered a GTV2e Pro from Omnimodels and was sent a kit that was opened and tampered with--many missing parts. Naturally, it was on the first UPS truck the following morning heading back. But since then, I have been waiting and waiting on their back-office to process an exchange. I am growing fed up with them and want a refund so I can order from somewhere else in the states. You guys know where I could get one for a decent price shipped from the US?

Nitrohouse.com has the Ofna pro roller for $399.99 and RTR for $359.99. I just made an order recently and was happy with my experience.

Ac555,

You are the man, thank you so much. I called and although the website lists the Pro on backorder, a rep checked and confirmed it was in stock. So I picked up the pro for $399.99 + free shipping!
