This thread wasn't hijacked, in fact I was by myself posting in here for over a month. I'm really happy with the activity, feel free to discuss what ever you want. No problem with that, I have many rc's and do it all.

It takes time for me to make original bodies, it’s a lot of work, and you have to figure a lot of different things out.

Anybody can just make a replica of an existing car; no brains or talent needed there, lol. But designing & making a GT car body, that will actually work, takes a lot of patience and it’s probably why I don’t have any patience left when dealing with any dumb Warrior body “haters” on the internet, lol

Soon fellas..... real soon!

Good news Jeff... cant wait!!

Thanks Cris, hitting 102mph was one of my most intense moments in rc so far! I'm planning on working my way up to higher speeds in the near future...

I'm shocked your running 300,000wt front and rear, no wonder you snapped those rear drive shafts lol.

Thanks Pat! I'm fairley new to speed runs but it is intense. That feeling of destroying my car at any moment takes some getting used to.

Is anyone considering the Toro Ex 1/5 scale 200amp/1000amp burst 8s esc? I don't trust toro at this point but people are using it. Supposedly it has a little more current flow than the XL2. I'm skeptical about this one. My Gt-V2e rtr came with a toro but I pulled it after 5 min lol. What would be a good motor that can handle 8s for speed runs and still fit in the Gt-V2e without flipping the motor mount?

Get any motor you want,Neu 1521,Castle 2200 or a Leopard 4082.I was thinking of doing a vid this weekend on enlarging the motor mount holes with a Rotozip and a drill press, a mod you will need if you run a large pinion.Very simple and accurate. As far as the diameter, you wont have any problems other than removing that plastic support. If need be i would shim the mount.Chris.

Those bodies look cool Mantis! What wheel base are these 3 bodies going to be? If you want to try something different you should setup a speed run car! Fastest nitro GT?

Unless ur planning to run at the Bonneville Salt Flats I don't think you will need 8s 6000mah worth of power lol
you will need the 8s just to haul the Kilo of lipos you'll be hauling

8s 6000mah is equivalent to having 4s 12000mah battery when your talking about run time
3000mah on 8s would be more then you'd ever need

They are long.
Man i just do not have the time, my kids are at that age where they are into everything and i have to juggle racing R+D and mfg in between!
I do not think Nitro will be as fast, not enough TQ, although i guess you coudl always make a 3 or 4spd transmission!! now that would be cool!
