The m11 model is an 8 pin module the m8is 6 pin but the m8 module will work with it.The specktrum module will work wih modification. you have to drill 2 holes in the module case thru the board(the board is blank where you have to drill the holes. This information is directly from Airtronics. As far as the size it is little different from m8(hope my m8 case will still work. The vibration function is in the handle and you can set it up on a timer to go off at pit interals or at the 5 min mark while you are practicing.Pricing is now on tower. It is about 35.00 more street price.Units should be shipping about 26th of this month.

In summary, the Spektrum will work in the M11 with just a physical mod? I don't have to send it in for programming?

Any idea what the other 2 pins for?

Heald it in my hands Sunday at RCX....Much better feel than the M8...I still don't like the top heavy feel of this radio but for those who have loved the M8 for years will hold this one up as the best. I like the backlite I think that makes the radio a bit better than others. I still think I will stick to my Helios only because it has everything I could ever need and then some...Plus it plays tunes for me..Gotta love it.
YES I AM BIASED...oh well so are you...
But as for comfortable the M11 has come up a notch.
The backlight makes adjustments easier...but eats up more volts.
The big ol screen makes finding stuff faster....but also eats up more Volts...
All in all another great radio....except you have to charge you batts every day...
With my helois I only charge mine once every three race days...Guess it helps to have a 2.5"x 1.5" screen....oopps forgot....If you bought it in Japan your warrentee is no good in the US or any other country except Japan. That was one thing I asked while I was at there booth.
Just bustting your guy's chops...

According to my LHS they have contacted Horizon on this. Horizon says it will not work. But Horizon will offer an upgrade service. They will upgrade the modules for $20.00 so it will work with an M11.

Well mine works with my modification just fine.

As for it eating up volts, it doesn't. I used it for 3 full days of racing, plus 2 practice days on the same charge, with the stock NiCd pack that it comes with. It doesn't stay lit for more than a few seconds.

The spektrum will work with m11 couple things from what i have heard you have to do.1st physical mod m11 is 8 pin while m8 is a 6 pin you have to drill 2 holes in the spektrum module for the 2 pins.2nd some times the spektrum has a problem reconizing the radio because the m11 takes several secs to power up kinda like a computer needs to boot up.the specktrum sits and waits does not recognize the radio and shuts down you can trick the module by turning the radio on and then plugging in the module.
