Long versus Short Wishbones
 

Has anybody got any thoughts on when best to use either long or short wishbones?

i generally thought shorter for high grip and longer for lower grip. and thats assuming you're talking about the lower a-arm,. not the upper link

yeah, generally a shorter wishbone will give you less roll in the corners...therefore won't generate as much grip so it is used on high grip tracks....longer wishbones will allow the car to roll more during the corners generating more grip so they are used more often on low grip tracks...i guess either would work on medium.

correct me if i'm wrong.

also, does the same principle apply for the camber links/roll centre?

Thanks guys, I was thinking down that road. The problem is that when racing outdoors in low grip situations the cars has shown up really well with long arms, but indoors on a polished gym floor the opposite is happening (tyres = yellow minipins).

Any thoughts?:confused:
