Default Brushless Novak 4300

Do you guys think that club races will allow a choice of 27 turn brushed or 27 turn similar brushless down the road.

My club does not. They are better than the normal stock motor.

I do hear a 4300 motor on unrestricted mode is even with a 19 turn

You must race at a slow track...LOL

I've been running one on 5 cells for a couple months and geared way tall (5.2-5.8 fdr) it's competitive (like DEAD even) with the intermediate guys.

I run 6 cells with it in the local P/L races and there's ALWAYS someone who kills me on the straight. It's better than a bad stocker, for sure, but not as fast as a good one.

Percentile-wise, in the total population of "stock" motors, I'd score it 90-95th. I'm sure EddieO or Big Jim do faster stockers...but you're not going to get one of those for the price of a 4300.

You'll definitely be faster from all the extra laps of practice you get. Of course, then they'll just say it's the motor.

All the local hobby shops around here (Southern Cal) carry them. I think I paid 70-75 for mine. Tower has them...I'm sure you can get one through Steve at Speedtech RC for a good price.

Duh...didn't even notice you live here...LOL...

Unless you come in last in stock, somebody will complain. We made a 19T/4300 class that I think is about right. However the "fast" 19T motors are noticable faster than the 4300. But at least I get to play now! I feel like Rudolph sometime, doesn't get to play cause I'm different!

Tower used to have them for about $150 (the whole system) with ther $30 discount.

You know you can just buy the motors separately, right? That's what I was talking about.

As for the price on a system...they cost the same as a 5800. You should be able to get the same deal on a 4300 as a 5800.

I bought one from Titus when he had a sale and got one from Hobby Town in Corona. Hobby People in Riverside has them for (I think) $84.99.

I'm sure you can get one from SpeedtechRC. He'd probably have to order it, but he has pretty smokin' deals on Novak stuff.

For that matter...you could always take it over to Novak and exchange your 5800 for a 4300...

Oh crap...check out the Novak site they lowered the price by $100!!!!!!

No...the website says they cut the list price of a whole 4300 system by $100. I bet you could buy a whole setup with ESC and everything for $150. I'll go over to HT and see what's up tonight.

Yeah, the price I was talking about earlier was for motor only.

it was liek 200 dollars before....it should be 100 by now if it dropped 100 bucks...but its 180..and i believe that i bought my SUPER SPORT when it came out for about 280...i dont think they would sell it at the same price..so it should be around 100-145...

Default 4300

LHS is sticking to the unfair issue with brushless because it is uncontrollable when it comes to rpms. I think that it is the same as a brushed stock, but because people are upset about the ROAR decision brushless guys will suffer.
