Hey
Im picking up a xray very soon and was taking inconsideration all the things to change from the box like discussed in the last few pages.
I was having a look at a few cheaper ulternatives from reflex instead of genuine xray parts.
The parts i was looking at are:
spec r spring steel outdrives for spool
Spec r shock spring set soft (2.5-2.8) i thought i wouldn't need the harder springs since i run on only asphalt in my area.
reflex dual cardan joint set (Narrow axle or wide axle?)
xray bumper brace
Are these parts as durable as the genuine xray parts or should i just buy all the genuine xray stuff?
Thanks

Spec r aluminum outdrives and springs are very good. Excellent alternatives.

However, if you're getting a t4, the spec r springs won't work. They're designed for the t3 shocks (longer shocks).

Oh sorry I meant the spring steel ones are excellent. They don't require the use the of any blades.

I don't have any experience with the rsd DCJs.

CSO makes springs but they're usually almost the same cost as xray ones.

If you're getting Reflex Racing parts.
Get some of their springs and the DCJ's.

Both are excellent.
I got two sets of asphalt springs and two sets of carpet springs to cover every option.

So their springs are as good as the genuine Xray?, I gather they are cheaper, and come as a nice set.

Yes, totally different ratings as well.
I have the RSD's and all the OEM xray springs as well.
