Wondering if anybody has tried to gear their t4 in the low 3's.

I'm at 3.7 at the moment using 64p 92/47 and I am at the limit in terms of fitting a bigger pinion.

Should I be switching to 48P?

Go to Nexus and get the RW spur gears for the XRAY. They start at 72t@64p

Rws are the most true spur gears I've used.

How are you "at the limit" with 47? I've fit a 100/50 on the car?

After my first run, I had 3 people come up to me saying they now plan on buying the T4 and one guy straight up went in and bought one off the shelf after seeing the possibilities. If anyone is thinking that our track record doesn't mean anything, I shall point out that this is against a multi-national champion, snowbirds winner, and Vegas Tq modified driver. Car is legit, and has made our fairly low traction track seem easy to drive and honestly has made racing fun again for myself.

If anyone has any questions about the car, I can sure answer them or find someone that does. Just pm me.
I have to say Chris you looked better then I have seen in a while with the new car. You were just smokin fast with it. It's great to see you excited about racing again as it seemed you wee losing the fun over the past few months. I love my car even though I had a bad day with it yesterday. I forgot my bodies that were fit and cut for my T4 so I had to hack up a T3 body and didnt seem to work too well. It would be awesome if one day you could take a look at my car and give some setup tips.

-3 for AWD for having last summers racing promotion at the bottom of your signature. Good thing you're faster on the track than on a computer.

I think the new motor mount design is going to be harder on spurs. Motor screws were tight and mesh seemed good. I did try to Marshall myself up against a board so my guess that didn't help!

Yea that got me worried as I run a 3.55fdr at my home track in a T2'07 with a 96t spur.

I got my Nikitas in yesterday, my T4 will be here tomorrow. A new ESC, body and springs coming wednesday. Diggity Design brace ships tomorrow. I'm too excited to sleep!

are most T4 owners running the harder progressive spring in the rear? trying to make the car turn more at mid-exit?

At 47 I can't use 2.5mm cap screw and had to switch to 2mm button head. The clearance between the screw and the Belt was less than 1mm either side.

I tried a 52 but it was rubbing against the belt if I gave it enough room to clear the button screws.

I'm not sure how wide the Xray narrow pinions are to know they would clear for sure.

What brand pinions are you guys using who have gotten 50 & 52 to fit?
