T3 hard bumper shaved down to T4 height, with small carbon brace. After having not run TC in 5 years, I can say I tested it thoroughly and it works great. Couldn't bring myself to even try the stock bumper.

Just buy 301324 which is the front body mounts and has the taller standoffs for the T3 and mount it up. if I think about it I'll take a picture tonight. Had one in the parts box and threw it on. Works great. Sold the body mounts to a guy the same day. He had stripped one out.

I'm just using the stock T4 bumper, but I used Skiddins idea(at least I think it was him) of second upper bumper brace upside down with longer screws and washers.

I've tapped a few walls with it. Nothing super hard, but it seems to be holding up fine.

I love this car. I managed to win the 17.5 stock A-main on Saturday (it's now the most competitive class locally.). It was just a club race, but I beat a couple of guys who I never expect to beat unless they break something. I'm running basically the kit setup, but with 1000cst in the rear diff, 50mm ECS and the xray steel spool outdrives (don't worry Hanulec, I still like Nikita outdrives and run them on my other 2 cars, Just trying out the xray ones )

I didn't want the thicker bumper which is why i didn't do that. In stock form, the hard T3 bumper weighed 22 grams. The way you see it on my car is 9 grams

yes but I'm using the stock T4 bumper so it's all good weight wise. it just floats on the taller posts

Got a question, so I have some backup 50mm ECS driveshafts. Will they work with the stock plastic spool cups? Or do I have to upgrade to the aluminum diff outdrives and run blades as well?

I think they'll work with the plastic outdrives, but the end won't be very deep in the outdrive, so theres a higher chance that the outdrive will break in a hit.

The diff outdrives only work with a diff. For a spool, you'd want to use the xray steel spool outdrives or Side Piece Racing's Nikita aluminum outdrives. I think Flying Fox make some aluminum spool outdrives as well. And yes, all would require the use of 3.5mm blades.

So, they no longer include a setup book with the cars. The website claims this is so you can get the latest most up to date version...whatever, I have one that came with my t3'11.

My question is, the 4 is so much more optimized, what changes are made in the setup book to accommodate the new design? Has anyone compared them?

There is no new Setup Book for the T4.

According to Xray you should use the (latest) T3 version as there is not much difference in the setup.

The T3 setup book does not reference the new style upper clamps, other then that, it should be about the same info.
